Nicola has been designing, decorating, renovating and building beautiful properties for over 20 years.

Early Influences

Nicola’s passion for interior design was ignited in childhood, through theatre production design and the grand country estates and world-renowned museums of the UK and Europe. Her father, an accomplished builder and renovator, taught her the practical construction and decorating skills that underpin exceptional interior design. In 2006, Nicola expanded her portfolio to include new build home and garden design. Our Portfolio pages showcase her signature style: authentic Australian living with a touch of European finesse.

Design Mastery

Nicola brings decades of dedicated study in art, architecture and design history, supported by a personal library of design volumes spanning the 1500s to today. Frequent travel to globally renowned homes, gardens, museums and the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour has given her insights she skillfully weaves into every project. Professionally trained in SketchUp CAD software, she produces detailed 3D models and Design Documentation for her clients. Her commitment to continuous learning shapes her enduring design philosophy: “Great style begins with great design.”

Expertise and Value

Design ran parallel to Nicola’s successful twenty-year corporate career (2003–2023). In 2024, she turned her lifelong passion into her profession, founding Style In The Ranges. Having designed, built or lived in twelve different properties, Nicola blends proven, sustainable design principles with each client’s personal style. She is passionate about serving people across Victoria, with a local focus on the Macedon Ranges. To ensure every project receives the utmost skill, attention and care, Nicola delivers Design Documentation for one project at a time. Her decades of creating elegant homes and gardens have taught her that “while aspirational design is wonderful, achieving your own dream style is life changing.”
